Positive Thought # 9

Laughing at yourself:

Remember when you were in middle school and high school and you did something socially stupid and everyone either laughed at you or got really quiet and just looked at you with funny shocked expressions?  Do you remember those feelings you had of embarrassment and shame? Do you still have those moments now that you are an adult or an even bigger kid?  I know that I do socially stupid things ALL the time.

Ex.  I was in math class (a college math course!) and we were standing in a line doing an activity in which we were to count off by 6.  The whole line goes, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and then my turn is coming and I am hoping to get a 1 because my friend got a 1.  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7... notice anything wrong? 7? Ya that was me, I said 7 not 6 haha. In a math course none the less.  Talk about socially stupid!  I as well as the rest of the class laughed and I corrected myself with a smile and "6.

Had I been in middle school or even high school that would have been so embarrassing my face would have turned bright red!

Positive Thought # 9  Find a little humor in yourself

We aren't all perfect all the time we slip up and say stupid things or slip down and fall or forget to turn even if the light is green or wear our shirts inside out.  Life is full of funnies and we just need to look at them and laugh right back at them because they can't get us down.

I dare you, ya you, the next time you do something that makes you wanna crawl under a rock and die, LAUGH!

Enjoy your imperfect funny weekend everyone!

GREAT POST :) If we can't laugh at things and at our-self sometimes, I don't know how anyone could ever get through this life! haha
